I have written about Buyer’s remorse in the past, and I was reminded of it when I read a post on a Real Estate website about Seller’s Remorse. Let’s talk about how quickly a home can go under contract and what that means to you, the seller.
In an ideal situation, we list your home, and the same day you get multiple offers over your asking price. At that time you might think, “Wow, my Realtor was really off the mark.” That is not the case; when this happens, it means we hit the sweet spot for your home.
Pricing your home is an art; it’s also a moving target. There are so many factors that go into pricing your home. You may price your home today, but tomorrow another home may sell, or another home may come on the market, and either scenario will mean the original price is no longer optimal in getting your home sold. It is the difference between getting a contract and lingering on the market until your home listing will expire with your existing REALTOR.
